firemantj
When a shotgun stage requires 20 rounds...bring 40. Not 24. That is all.
wide45
And another 50 in the truck. Always be prepared to reshoot the stage if necessary. And it's good karma to help out your fellow competitors who are less prepared. Edited March 12, 2012 by wide45

mitchiepinoy
Same happen to me... I brought 200rnds .40 and the match is 130rnds min and i need to re shoot 2 stages with 24 rnds... I end up doing home with only 2rnds ... Lesson learned!!!
Giant81
I'm paranoid, not only did I bring my 9mm and 300rnds for a 100rnd match, I also brought the .45 and 250 rounds for that too. I even offered a box of 50 to another shooter that thought he might be short. I made sure to let him know they were factory blazer brass loads and not reloads. He didn't take me up on the offer, but they were available if needed.
firemantj
I didn't even mention it was on the first stage of the day. Which set a great tone for the rest of the match. I figured that it would ruin the day for me. But I sat and stewed on it for about 2 minutes and let it go. I had a great time the rest of the day. monicataliani
I am totally paranoid too! I always keep an extra 150 rounds in my range bag over whatever the match calls for. And a back up gun! Who cares if I have too many rounds? I would be sooooo mad if I ran out! Edited March 14, 2012 by monicataliani
firemantj
It hurts even more when you do have those extra rounds...just in the truck, not on your belt.
lawboy
It hurts even more when you do have those extra rounds...just in the truck, not on your belt. I keep 500 rounds 45acp and 500 rounds 9mm and 1000 rounds 22lr in the truck. I keep a backup gun in the range bag, along with double the round count I anticipate at the match. No, I do not carry the range bag. I use a range cart!
firemantj
I think I may be building one soon. From what I hear I may need one at RockCastle.
