hal1955
Does the 92fs Vertec have a steel frame ? I would not want one with an alloy frame.
splashdown
There was a gun called the Steel 1. It was a steel framed Vertec and is going to be expensive if you can even find one. It also had a frame mounted thumb safety like the Stock and Combat models. I wouldn't worry too much about the aluminum frame though. Our military runs on aluminum frames, and so does our current Production national champion Ben Stoeger. How many rounds on your guns Ben? Up to 100k? jtielke
The regular Vertec has an aluminum frame. I did manage to eventually break mine but I wouldn't be too concerned about it unless you just like the extra weight.
hal1955
I like the steel frame and I like the extra weight. And I like the thumb safety and an adjustable sight. And I like a rail on the gun, the heavier the better. Is there a Beretta out there that fits that description ? splashdown
Sorry, the Steel 1 does not have the rail like the Vertec. It does have the straight backstrap and a thumb safety. It's also a single action only model. No DA.
