These are the dates for the 2012 BRILEY West Coast Steel Championships at the ISI Steel Challenge range in Piru, CA. Due to demand, we are expanding the match to two days, adding rimfire rifle divisions and are expecting upwards of 250 entries. In 2011, we had 138 entries and thanks to our generous sponsors, gave away over $28,000 in prizes by order of random drawing (except for a $500 check to the match winner). Like last year, there will be a $500 check for the match winner, plaques for the division/category winners and merchandise prizes distributed to every entry (including multiples) by order of random drawing. This year, multiple gun entries receive multiple tickets in the main drawing for multiple trips to the prize table. If you enter 4 guns and are REALLY lucky, you could have the first 4 picks from the prize table! Response from the industry has been nothing less than phenomenal. As of 2/24/12, we have received commitments approaching $60,000 in prizes (including 20 firearms; 13 of which have been generously donated by Ruger). As you can see from our constantly growing sponsor list, we expect to have a substantial and diverse prize table. I spent the entire day organizing the master list into individual prize packages. EVERYBODY's prize package will exceed the value of their entry fee. Thanks for the kind words; Im glad you enjoyed it. Im FINALLY at a point where I can begin to relax after completing all of the post match follow-up and thanking all 70 of our sponsors for generously providing over $75k in prizes for everyone to take home. Special thanks go out to Mike Dalton and the ISI staff for all of their efforts running a smooth & efficient match and making sure the needs of the shooters & sponsors were well taken care of. Super special thanks go out to the 214 entries that travelled from Japan, Taiwan, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, South Dakota, Illinois, Georgia, Florida and of course, all parts of California to support our vision of what a shooting event should be. Congratulations to each and every one of them on having a safe, courteous and fine shooting performance as well as for contributing to the overall friendly & FUN atmosphere of the event. Work has already begun on the 2013 Briley WCSC, scheduled for June 22 & 23.
