hax
I know the 2011 is basically the same as a 1911 with a few exceptions, but are there any books/shop manuals on the 2011? That maybe cover how to cut for a ramped barrel? What is a good beginner machinist book for someone looking into getting a mill?
Custom Rust
You can try AGI http://www.americangunsmith.com/app/products/view/23/The-Ultimate-1911-Video-Course-Volume-3 They have a pretty good mill and lathe video series
hax
Have you watched any of their videos? Are they worth getting?
want2race
The diminsions are the same for cutting a 2011 and 1911 ramped barrel. The diffence is in how to clamp the frame in the vise. I have both 1911 books from Kuhnhausen, they are a bit dated but have very good info.
hax
I also have and have read both of the Kuhnhausen books. Unfortunately it is a bit hard to understand some parts being new to all this.
