Tom Brannon
I looked at the rule book and still not sure... I have the Glock 34, it came with the extended slide release, can I put a standard slide release on it, like on the Glock 17? I keep bumping the darn thing and having it lock back when Im shooting and its destroys my time plus rattles my game plan! So is putting a smaller slide lock allowed or would that be a considered a Mod??

HS101
You can switch it out. It is a factory part, and is "available from another factory gun" (appendix D4 21.6 USPSA) It is spelled out similarly in IDPA. edited: damn, someone was quicker in the rule book than me! ...
