Ryan Posted January 24, 2012 Share Posted January 24, 2012 Bullets in the mag are making contact with the slide lock and prematurely activating the holdopen. You will need to remove material from the slide stop until the bullets have room to slide past as they rise from the mag. Dont go too far or the follower will not be able to activate the hold open when its supposed to. Its easy to see any interfearance with the slide off and then inserting a loaded mag. Before I would cut or remove anything, I would do some diagnosing. I also suggest marking the mag next time it happens to see if it happens with just one mag or all of them.
