Zebraman
I am thinking about rebuilding my AR 15 with a side charging upper from either American Spirit Arms or LAR. I want the charging handle to be on the left side of the gun. I have been toying with this idea since I attended last years SHOT show. Does anyone have any experience and/or experience with either of these upper receivers, and the pros and cons of having the handle on the left side? The ASA upper has a non-reciprocating handle, and the LAR is attached to the bolt directly. Thanks, Z
caz41
JP also makes a side charging upper. They have one that is side charge only (SCR-11) that is non-reciprocating and one that is redundant with the side charge and normal T handle (PSC-11). J.Schmitt
Brownells is also carrying a JP PSC-11 side charging upper receiver. This is the dual, with the side and redundant T handle. Jay
