00bullitt
I'm trying to achieve 2600fps out of an 18" barrelled OBR with a 175SMK. Anybody got a good load for that. Thanks!
SyberShooter
I don't have any personal data for 175gr yet but one time I saw a couple loads listed over on centerfire central that were slightly faster but were from a longer bbl. They were using over 40 grains of Varget according to my notes. Best to work up your own loads for your particular gun.
Outsydlooknin75
Tod, have you talked with Mike Benedict? I know he has an OBR but not sure exactly what he shooting out of it. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk
smokshwn
Todd, I have had good luck with Ramshot TAC and Hornady 178's in an 18" DPMS barrel. I don't have my chrono sheets handy but IIRC I was pushing 2575ish with 42 grains in Fed brass.

00bullitt
I've already tried Varget and can only get 2540 but I am getting bad ejector swipes. I have some Berger 155 and 168 Hybrids on the way. I am going to try 4895 and Benchmark with them after talking with Bobby about this. I have a load now using Benchmark with a 155 AMAX and its going 2675 and no pressure signs. The new Hybrid Bergers may be the ticket to accomplish what I want. Thanks for the help. I will post my results as soon as I get out to the range.
Outsydlooknin75
Tod, don't rule out the sierra 2156's its their latest 155 but has the bc of a 175. You probably can push them pretty quick. I'm fixing to switch to the 2156's and 4895 in my 20 inch bolt gun. Just need to finish off the 2155's I have now. A very good choice none the less and possibly what I will work to as I am almost there in velocity with them.
