dauntedfuture Posted October 31, 2011 Share Posted October 31, 2011 Just got my 38 super barrel and slide. It was adversited a fully supported and i have some question about that. Attached are pics of a case in the barrel and a case with a green mark on what hangs out. At a minimum i would like to shoot minor with this barrel. superdude Posted October 31, 2011 Share Posted October 31, 2011 the pictures are a little fuzzy but it looks like you have reasonable case support. however, it would not qualify as full case support. compare it to the figures here: http://38super.net/Pages/supported.html. Note that some chambers with full support have even less case wall showing than the pictures at the link. try some Factory 38 Super ammo through it such as Remington, Federal or Winchester and check for bulging (http://38super.net/Pages/Factory2.html). avoid the really hot stuff like corbon for your test and any others that show pressure signs on the Factory Ammo link.
