There are alot of threads on here about Ballistic Pendulums, I got interested in this subject.

(This is what they used to determine bullet-velocity and "power factor" before modern electronics made chronographs)

The original concept dates back to the mid 1750's.

I was intrigued by this and decided to follow-along that article to

create my own explanation and demonstration, just for learning

purposes:

This will be old news to people who have seen all of this before; but

to people new to the game like me (who have grown-up in a world that

always had electronics and computers) I think its always important to

see how things were done before modern technology
