Graham Smith
I recently got one of the basic Kindles for $114. It only has WiFi and it displays ads as the screen saver and on the home page, but the 3G version without advertising is $75 more! Anyway, continuing with my Frugal nature, one of the reasons I got this was to be able to tap into the vast array of free and low-cost books available for these things. For example, I'm a big fan of classic science fiction and I'm finding a bunch of stuff written in the 40's, 50's and 60's for next to nothing. And in broading my search a bit, I just found a free version of Tennyson's "Idllys of the King" which I am going to try and follow. And there is a whole series of Poe books that are free. And just for fun, I've put a copy of the latest USPSA rules on it as well. So, I thought I'd see what free or low-cost Kindle books are being read in the Benoverse. Graham Smith
Try looking at these as the free e books come in various formats. It's not the finding it's the choosing. The selection is truly amazing - more than I ever thought possible. I'm just curious about what free gems people may have found.

bgary
there are tons of "classics" on amazon.com for free, too. Like... you can get the entire collection of Mark Twain's work for free. Or Jack London. Etc.
