Bob McGee
The manuals have lots of info on hot loads not much on light loads. I am shooting 4.6 gr of ww231 under a 200 gr round nose plated bullet seated to give me an over all length of 1.275". Is this load in danger of sticking a bullet in the barrel of my S&W 625? tightloop
You would be better off using a faster powder like Clays or Bullseye.
g56
Rainier's listed minimum load for their 45acp 200 gr plated bullet is 4.6 gr of 231, you aren't using a Rainier bullet, but it is plated so should be similar.
toddrod
I routinely shoot 4.0g 231 under a Berry plated 200g SWC without and problems.
