changing out the mainspring on a short transverse pistol

I have an Armalite AR-24 pistol that is basically a copy of a small frame witness.

I would like to replace the mainspring with a wolff spring to lighten the DA trigger. I have read about other people doing this with good results, but I can't seem to find any instructions to do this. I am moderately mechanically inclined, but before I go tearing into my gun I was hoping to find a good set of instructions. I have tried several searches without any luck.

I found this video, but I'm not sure how similar that pistol is to the small frame witness.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

It's about the same, really depends if you have an old or newer small frame. Old has a long hammer spring in the back of.the grip. Newer is like in the video, short, right under the bottom of the hammer. Do a Google search for tanfoglio hammer removal as well.
