Fullauto_Shooter
Seller has a large quantity of .308 Israeli 147gr FMJ M80 bullets. Ad states these bullets have been AIR pulled and 99.9% have NO PULL MARKS. Seller states these bullets are NOT magnetic. 500 for $75 shipped 1000 for $145 shipped 2000 for $285 shipped 3000 for $422 shipped Per the posted pic in the ad, the bullets have either no or very light pull marks. Is this a good deal for .308 close-range (200 yards and less) hoser bullets?
scap99
If you want hoser bullets...I can't think of a better deal. If you're looking for any kind of accuracy, say, less than 2moa, you might consider a different bullet.
lmccrock
Wideners is cheaper for 2K M80 145gr, new, not pulled, $266 shipped. I guess 2k is what fits in the USPS flat rate box. Edited April 29, 2011 by lmccrock
NuJudge
If you are looking for Match bullets, this is a decent deal: http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item.asp?sku=115-65934&fromsearch=yes I've had some problems with Israeli surplus over the years. There are a lot of reports on the Internet of case failures with Israeli 7.62x51 surplus. My brother had one also. My impression is that the Israelis surplus ammo for a reason. Who knows, the bullets may be from cartridges where the problem was with case case, but I believe you can be sure the bullets were from a lot of different Lots of ammo, resulting in accuracy issues. lmccrock
Not quite so much can go wrong with bullets, and some of us do not want to pay a premium for hoser bullets that will be blasted into the ground at roughly 0-25 yards. That said, the Nosler bullets do hit a nice price point, and those are cheaper at Powder Valley.
