hey everyone,

im a very novice shooter and having trouble deciding where exactly on my trigger finger im supposed to be making contact with the trigger. ive tried both the tip of my finger where the fingerprint would be found and also on the joint. please any pointers would be great.

i dont know if this matters but i shoot production with an xdm 9mm and im right handed.

Yes, square in the middle of the pad of the finger, and press strait back while maintaining sight alignment.

Lot of dryfire for you!

Welcome!

One thing I belive Kyle is saying that may not be obvious is "while maintaining sight alignment".

Many people see fragmented "frames" of the sight alignment/picture as the trigger is pressed, and you will remember the last picture.

If the gun fires after that last picture then any thing could have happened to the shot.
