Ed K
I recently purchased a mag well from Wilson. It's the type that slips under the grip. I have stock grips on my 1911 & was wondering if there is a technique that anyone uses to file or in some way take the grip down so the mag well fits. rhino
I did that a long time ago and although I don't remember exactly what I did, I know I used only hand tools. I'm pretty sure I did it with the chisel in my swiss army knife and a set of needle files. A dremel tool would make short work of it, though. Gun Geek
Done Several - the Dremmel rocks. Lay the ear against the inside of the grip and mark it with a sharpie. I use the rectangular cutting tool. Get to Dremmeling. You need to take about 3/32 to 1/8 of an inch off of the grip. Good luck!
