hdgun Posted April 1, 2004 Share Posted April 1, 2004 This is for Bucky or anyone else that can help.I have three Caspians. two are open guns and one is a limited Fantom in 40 S&W.I have 5- 19 round 38 super mags modified for 40,but at best I can only get 14 rounds in them.I see by the picture that was poted one 19 rounder BUT WHAT ARE THE OTHER MAGS? Alan Meek Posted April 1, 2004 Share Posted April 1, 2004 hdgun, I modified a group of mags from 38super to 40 that increased the capability to hold 17. I just recently added a EGW basepad to one and it will hold 19. There is a mod that you need to do to the mags as the taper in the mags causes the .40 rounds to fan out hence the 14 rd limit. So if you remove the taper and square the mag front to back you will be able to fit 17 rds. Also on your frame inside the magwell at the top on the right hand side there is a bump of metal that needs to be removed. TO allow the modified mags to fit inside the gun. I am trying to put together a run of Caspian mags and tubes. I know this has been asked before, but how many serious mag BUYERS are there out there. Please, grab every Caspian guy you know and have them email me.
