tanfogliocoe
I have a SS that I need to put on a diet and I was thinking of trying a VZ grips aluminum MS housing, however I don't know anything about them. I am looking for pros and cons.
davehorn
Don't know about the VZ aluminum MSH, but I have Smith & Alexander aluminum MSH on my Kimber IDPA gun. It's held up pretty well through a little over a whole season of major matches and practice. If you practice reloads with it though, use snap caps, or dummy rounds in the reload mags. Otherwise the mag lips will end up gouging the aluminum, and from what I've been told, once the aluminum gets eaten up, it's junk, it can't be polished out. The S&A aluminum MSH weighs .07 oz.
