sdm74
New xl650 just arrived at my door...this thing is a beast! Question I had is I went with hardware kit instead of strong mount..there are 2 wood screws in the hardware kit in addition to the 4 bolts ..anyone know what they are for? Dukerdog
Probably if you can't use one or two of the bolts, you can just use the screws to secure the press. Good luck, Marc

Red_SC
They're for the little chute that guides the loaded rounds into the bin.
Red_SC
At least, on my 550 that's what it's for. Looking at Dillon's website I can't tell if the 650 is the same. If not, it's possible that they just throw the same mounting kit in with both presses.
sdm74
Ok...for the 650 the braket goes on with the bolts..so yea must just be one generic mounting kit for both.. Thanks Steve

Erik S.
Yes, the little wood screws are for the chute and the mount for the bin that catches the loaded cartridges. Took me a min to figure it out way back when I got my 550, too.
