R/O frustration... the pointy end goes forward

From the responses, I guess I'm an idiot.

I had this happen to me in a 3 gun match a month or so ago. I was on the pistol part of a stage and did a slidelock mag change with my 1911. When the mag came out of the pouch, the top round had shifted forward a little. Apparently the round popped out as it went into the magwell, because when I dropped the slide it seated the round backwards into the barrel with authority. And yes, I'm sure the round hadn't been put in the magazine backwards. The RO just shook his head and said, "Now, I ain't never seen that before!"
