Setting the Record Strait

Odd hours and on call time are the minuses.

Depending on the place you may start work between midnight and 9 AM, shifts run between 8-12 hours, call can vary between rarely and so often you just live at the pharmacy when you're taking call. It all depends on your customers. Licensure can be a pain to deal with depending on if you live in an agreement state or not. Getting your BCNP makes that a lot easier, you don't have to keep verifying your training to get onto RAM licenses as an AU.

The positives are NO direct patient contact and NO insurance. Plus it's really nice to have your customers call with all kinds of questions and actually care about your answers, I can't tell you how many times I've been thanked by MD's and technologists for helping them find information.
