Kyle O
I found this, and it pretty much sums up every working day of my life. and this enjoy, and appreciate your local independent pharmacist!
technetium-99m
How have you so accurately described what happens every 20 minutes in a retail pharmacy? Do you have a camera in my last and only retail gig?
bofe954
That site is pretty funny but sometimes I wish you had to be an Rph to look at it...
technetium-99m
It can look real bad to non pharmacy types, but I still love it. Every time I think about going retail for the money I remember the shirtless woman banging on the drive through window or read that site and it pretty much kills the desire. Kyle O
I'm guessing you have gone nuclear at this point?
technetium-99m
And never going back, have by BCNP now and I'm staying put.
bofe954
What's a typical day like for you you Tec-99? I work in a hospital and I am debating something different. There are a couple nuke places near me. What are the pluses and minuses?
technetium-99m
Odd hours and on call time are the minuses. Depending on the place you may start work between midnight and 9 AM, shifts run between 8-12 hours, call can vary between rarely and so often you just live at the pharmacy when you're taking call. It all depends on your customers. Licensure can be a pain to deal with depending on if you live in an agreement state or not. Getting your BCNP makes that a lot easier, you don't have to keep verifying your training to get onto RAM licenses as an AU. The positives are NO direct patient contact and NO insurance. Plus it's really nice to have your customers call with all kinds of questions and actually care about your answers, I can't tell you how many times I've been thanked by MD's and technologists for helping them find information.
