Making the Production limit with add ons

I changed components, and wasn't sure whether I'd make the limit on the scale used at the Nats, so I went to a lighter guide rod than I've been using, and found I liked the feel better. In the interest of sharing information, this is what was measured on the official Nationals scale:

My backup G35 with the scalloped Sevigny/Warren FO sight set, TruGrip an 11# ISMI spring and an uncaptured short THE tungsten guide rod, a standard base pad half covered with skateboard tape, and a Pearce plug, was, per the scale used, exactly (or, more specifically, if not more precisely, to the nearest tenth) 2.0 oz over the OEM weight.

My main G35 with the same sights, spring, plug and basepad, but with an alternate brand grip tape very closely ressembling TruGrip in contour and thickness, and using a standard length brass guide rod, was 1.5 oz over the OEM weight.

YMMV,

Kevin C.
