rtr
This morning I was dry firing and it worked fine, until on one trigger pull I pulled the trigger, and it felt like it wouldn't pull, it would take up the pre-travel, then when it got to the break it just didn't break until I pulled rather hard. So I totally disassembled the slide and frame, looked at everything, reassembled, and it works fine. So I'm not sure what this is a symptom of, any ideas? George
Sounds to me like the striker safety block plunger was locking up. I have had mine do that when it got a lot of little tiny brass chips up under it from the extractor. When you disassembled it, you probably dislodged the swarf that was locking up the spring loaded pluunger that the trigger bar has to raise before the striker can go far enough forward to hit the primer. You can try lubing this area, but I find keeping it dry helps keep it cleaner, then the brass chips just fall out and don't bond with the lube and build up in there. -- Regards,
pwalker
Have you installed an over-travel stop - in the trigger, behind the trigger bar, or in the connector (rocket type)? If so, maybe it needs a little adjustment. Regards Peter
rtr
I fixed it, it was the overtravel stop.
