coframer
What is the grip angle(degrees) on a Glock 34?
M109R
22Deg for all Glocks.
BlueOvalBruin
I wouldn't worry too much about grip angle. It's different on a glock but not something most people can't get used to in a week or 2. Grip angle is only really only an issue for me if the grip angle is too shallow (like a sig 226) but only because there's a hitch in my wrist and I can't get a proper grip with that gun. muahdib4
As has already been said...grip angle isn't important truly unless it's for something specific other than firearms choice really. I was a dedicated 1911 shooter until I picked up the Glock and forced myself to shoot it only focusing on the basics of trigger pull. After that, I found I actually shot the thing really well and have been a fan ever since. The even BETTER thing is...since I forced myself into that mindset...it's actually made me a better all around shooter.
coframer
Here's my problem. I started shooting Glocks about 2 years ago. I have constantly had problems with "Slide Bite", the rail cutting into my strong hand thumb by the rear knuckle. I now have a G17 Gen4. I have tried both backstraps and I am still getting the same results. I keep on getting my hand up to high on my draws, cutting my hand open. I didn't know if the grip angle might have something to do with this? I'm sure it's me. I also have very large hands. They swallow up the G17. Maybe I should try the G34? M109R
The g34 is the same lower as the g17 just a slightly longer slide if this is the problem try the 20 or 21 your hand will not swallow the large frame up I can hardly get my fingers around it. BlueOvalBruin
I have giant hands too and sometimes get slide bite but not as often now as my draw is more consistent. The G21SF in effect has more of a beavertail than the regular G21 since the web area is cut in a bit. I don't get slide bite with my G21SF (same with G20SF). I used to have the same problem. It took awhile, but I trained myself not to grip the gun so high. However, you may want to get a grip reduction done on it by a competent specialist. I know it puts you in a different division, but it may be worth it in the long run. Especially if you carry the gun. I've actually had my G19 bite me more than the G34.
