  2. DQ’d twice this year at local matches with an AD both times. First one was rushing a reload. Second one shot an array went to move and bam. Owned them both. Stayed to help out afterwards. Down side was each one was about a week out from shooting a major match and I carried it with me to the matches. Funny how that can stick with you. Live and learn.
  3. Go to your local lumber yard and ask if they have a "Cull" section of lumber. That's the stuff that wasn't good enough to use on the job or defective and the yards usually sell it for half or less. May not be the best looking material but will get the job done.
  4. You should give Anderson a call on this one. Helped me out tremendously.

  6. Pale Rider. "That's a good piece of hickory."
  7. Sleepy Hollow, Halloween series is great, Evil Dead, Cabin in the Woods, House of a 1000 Corpses.
  8. Where did you purchase those? Thanks.
  9. Paper plates to simulate steel. I only get about 8 yards distance in my garage so took some USPSA targets and cut off the D zone to downsize them. Inexpensive especially with a newborn on the way.
  10. Ok. Disassembled completely. Hammer, sear and disconnect seem fine. Pulled out trigger and noticed the set screw had moved for some reason to the rear. Backed it out, put everything back together and now it has that "crisp" reset as it did before. Not sure how the set screw was able to move that far to the rear being that it was loc tite from the factory? But for now it seems to be the fix.
  11. I never measured but 3-3.5. Have about 5000 rounds thru it. Wondering if it’s possible the adjustment screw on the trigger loosened?
  12. The trigger will reset. But as I release the trigger there is no "click" to indicate that it has reset? If I release it very slowly you can barely feel the "click". ??

Myself, along with others, have experienced this more than once not knowing how or why this has happened. How do we end the "desire"? How do we stop "trying" and just let things happen? And how do we remove "expectations" from our daily lives? Just my thoughts after reading this one. And yes I will continue to read. Thanks.
  14. Anderson's 3rd book and Podcasts are great information.
  15. Anderson's Podcast and books are great. I've been listening to the Podcasts for the last couple of months. Also purchased the 3rd book, read it and following the dry fire routine for the last couple of months and have seen steady improvement not just in the active part of shooting but more so on the mental side of shooting. Give it a chance and see what happens. Also, Enos's blog here on the forum is full of great info.
  16. Finally went out to the range and shot this one. Shooting 1911 Major PF. Didn't record my draws or splits. 1-4.69 + 3 sec 7.69 2-4.87 + 3 sec 7.87 3-5.29 + 1.5= 6.79 4-5.07 + 1.5= 6.57 5-4.87 + 3.5= 8.37 6-5.38 + 2.5= 7.88 7-5.17 + 2.5 = 7.67 8-5.01 + 1.0 = 6.01 9-5.53 + 3 = 8.53 10-5.75 + 2= 7.75
  17. Nice!! Thanks for the updates. Now back to dry firing!!
  18. In SS do your mags have to be carried vertically or can they be canted/angled on your belt? Haven’t shot for years and getting back into it. Thanks
  19. 2nd great action flick for Keanu. Seems like his gun handling skills picked up since Street Kings!!
  20. On a related note, if you've never seen it, check out Way Of The Gun. That's a great movie! The first scene at the club is the best.

  22. +1 Like you said whatever the SO at the stage wants or what ever the local clubs wants to suit their needs.
