I am wanting to shoot steel out of it can the barrel be tapped for chokes. is it safe to shoot steel out of this gun any help . or should I just sell it and by a newer model with chokes. the serial number is a low three digit # Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

EricW Posted February 3, 2004 Share Posted February 3, 2004 I'm pretty sure that steel out of a full choke is a definite no-no. Unless the gun has some type of sentimental value, I think you'll be far better off to sell it and buy a gun with screw in chokes. There's just a world of nice, used shotguns out there for at or under $1K that are probably more suited to living in a duck blind. The Beretta Extrema comes to mind...
