kaiserb
Does anyone have any experience with the Fistfire method of stance and grip for combat shooting? I have read a few articles and it sounds interesting.

bountyhunter
Rolling the left hand forward about 45 degrees puts a real strain on my left elbow tendons (which are always grouchy anyway). I also feel it in the wrist. This position feels very unnatural. Anybody use this shooting position for a long time? I'm curious about long tem effects. Duane Thomas
I use the technique. It does seem to seriously cut down on muzzle flip if you can springload your wrist into the "down" position. Jerry B. is big on this technique though I used it even before seeing that on one of his video tapes. OTOH when I first became a firearms instructor I tried teaching both the hyper-extended-wrist-with-thumbs-forward IPSC-type grip and the more common thumb-over-thumb grip to students, figuring I'd given them the option. In short order I quit trying to teach the former technique, and now only teach newbies thumb-over-thumb. I found that most people simply couldn't execute the technique - I guess it does require fairly supple wrists.
