Advise on QD sling swivels.

Anyone use the AR-15 buffer tube mounting plates with QD sockets in them? Trying to figure out what rear mount to use for a V-tac sling. There seem to be a couple different designs all priced the same. Some replace the plate while I know at least one goes over it and clamps down. Are there any advantages other than possible weight savings to either design?

For the front mount I am using the QD socket built into the rail section on my forearm.

I currently have a carbine rear sling attachment point wiht an HK hook loop on it. it replaces the end plate on the carbine buffer tube assembly.
