I have a flat top DPMS and am looking to mount an Eotech as a close range red dot and use my 1x3 scope for the longer shots. I have seen a couple of 45 degree angle mounts. I would like to keep it on the upper rail. I need it as close as possible to see it clearly. Any ideas or pictures of what works well for you? Get a true 1-4x scope for your primary or a mini red dot for the side. You could try mounting the eotech on a rail on the handguard.
