turbocomp38s
Shooting a new limited gun for about 600 rounds. I can see some slight deep marks on the cut behind the link of the barrel and also marks on the ramp of the frame. 1. WILL THESE MARKS STOP AFTER SHOOTING 2000 ROUNDS AT LEAST? 2. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED ABOUT THESE MARKS AS IT MAY DAMAGED THE BARREL LINK OR THE BARREL ITSELF? ONE FRIEND SUGGESTED THAT I HAVE TO HAVE A GUNSMITH MILL OUT SOME OF THE METAL OF THE RAMP OF THE FRAME TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE BARREL ( LINK AREA AND CUT) FOR A PERFECT FIT. ALL SUGGESTIONS AND EXPERTISE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
Julien Boit
Don't mill out material ! Doing so will cause the barrel to be stopped by the link and it will cause broken link or broken slide stop . The marks are normal, unless they are too deep. This is where the barrel contact the frame. Bring your gun to a competent gunsmith so he'll check it. Don't mill it out if that's not necessary. Jasonub
who built the pistol? If its built by knowledgable pistolsmioth then dont worry about it. How are your groups?
turbocomp38s
Thanks for your response guys. Groupings are .5 inch to 1 inch so far. Gun is a little bit tight but runs flawlessly. I may have to wait and see. Shoot it for another 1500 to 2000 rounds and check it out.
