LT45
To make "3 Guns and a Pit" a legal stage there is an easy fix. Stage the loaded rifle to the right of your right most barrel. If your intention is to have them shoot the rifle through the barrels, construct it so there is no other place to see them.. remember, if you can see them, you can shoot them. The way you have it, they could pick the rifle up off the table and engage the rifle targets from that location. The pit wouldn't even get used. Change the WSB there are several thing that need to be changed from your original. 'All three firearms on table loaded, pointing down range with safety’s engaged. Shooter is seated in chair. On signal engage targets as they are visible. All pistol rounds may only pass thru a port in a wall. Shot gun rounds may NOT pass thru any ports or pipes and may only be used to engage steel and clay targets. Rifle rounds may only pass through pipes to engage paper targets only. Any firearm may be left abandoned on table unloaded pointing down range." Try something like this, it's clear and to the point. Tell them what they can do, not what they can't. Starting Position: Pistol is loaded and holstered, Shotgun loaded and place on table-A, muzzle pointed down range, safety on. Rifle un-loaded and placed on table-B, bolt may be open, magazine may not be inserted. Stage Procedure: Upon start signal engage targets P1-6 with pistol only. Engage star and clays 1-5 with shotgun only, engage targets R1-10 with rifle only. Safe pistol must be abandoned on table-A before picking up shotgun. Safe shotgun must be abandoned on table-A or table-B before picking up rifle. Scoring: This is a 260 point Comstock course. 12 rounds Pistol, 10 rounds Shotgun (birdshot only)20 rounds rifle. Targets: Pistol: 6 Metric Shotgun: 5 plates, 5 clays Rifle: 10 Metric Scored Hits: Pistol: Best 2 per 6 paper. Shotgun; Steel Down=1A, Clay broken=1A. Rifle: Best 2 per 10 paper Start: Audible Stop: Last shot Hope this helps... Edited May 11, 2010 by LT45
