Micrometer seating die

Recommended Posts

I have read and searched till my eyes hurt and can't find a clear answer...

I have an XL650 set up with Dillon sizer in the first station, LEE u-die in the second, powder at third, seating die in fourth, and crimp in last...

I would like to add Redding micrometer seating die but can't simply replace my current seating die as the powder bar is in the way. Do I have to remove the lee u die and put the podwer drop back to the second station or is there something I am missing?

Thanks,

Colin

why do you have two sizing dies? i have the sizing die in station one, powder die in the second, the KISS bullet feeder die ih the third, and the redding micro seating die in the forth, and the crimp in the fifth.

Take the powder measure off, install the seating die. Reinstall the powder measure. The measure will clear the top of the seating die by about a inch and a half. Pleanty of room to make adjustments. Been useing mine like that for years.------------Larry

I'm an idiot...more than enough room.

It was suggested (on this forum) to run the dillon sizer on the first station and the Lee U on the second...works well for me so far.
