TxD
What is a "Bossed" mainspring as advertised in the 686 SSR? Can it be tuned in the same manner as the standard S&W mainspring by bending? Thanks.
Tom E
It's a Wolff mainspring. May be a reduced power. The only difference between a Wolff standard and reduced power is the amount of arch. They don't bend easily like a S&W flat mainspring.
Toolguy
I believe Wolff makes some of the best gun springs out there. However, I can get a much better action by tuning a stock (flat) S&W spring, so I'm not a fan of that particular one. For a drop in, the reduced power one is OK, but not like a tuned original. Carmoney
The Wolff mainsprings can be tuned just like the stock springs.
