sbo76
What spring are you guys running for a major .45 acp? I have a SS guide rod and #18 spring. Will a lighter spring help manage the recoi?
Duane Thomas
What sort of ammo are you running? Be aware that most factory .45 GAP ammo is loaded to .45 ACP +P ballistics. Such ammo in a light gun like the G37 is definitely generously equipped with recoil. If you're running handloads in the 170 pf vicinity I don't see any reason why you can't tame a bit of the recoil with a lighter recoil spring. The stock G37 spring goes 17 pounds. So does a stock 5" 1911 spring. I run a 14-pound recoil spring in my 1911s with 170 pf ammo, so calling up Wolff and getting a 14-pounder for the G37 would certainly be worth a try.
