Fireant
Since I did not have any luck selling my Stinger I want to rebarrel it and make a dedicated steel gun out of it. I emailed STI and they no longer have the barrel/comp parts availible. What 9mm barrel can I use? These come as bull barrels with a fixed comp, but they have an odd length I think. Should I just switch to a bushing type barrel with a cone comp to save more weight? Any ideas and help would be great.
Jaxshooter
Is the Steel Master the same length barrel? You might try Briley or Clark.
diehli
Stinger barrel length is 3.9", Steel/Match Master is 4.15" (standard commander length). Best bet is standard (bushing) w/ cone comp, though the cone might be long. What comp is it currently? Caliber? If it's already 9mm and the S-1 comp, why not shoot that? If you want to lighten it, have the barrel fluted.
Fireant
It is 38 super right now and I want to make it a 9mm and a dedicated steel gun. That means a lot of slide lightening. I have a buddy with a milling machine and he is not afraid to use it.
