Accurate No.5 powder?

Hey Folks,

I just purchased about 8 lbs or accurate No.5, so any notes on past experiences with this particular powder would be greatly appreciated.

I have used it in 40,45 and 357. I believe my load was 9.6 for a 158sjhp. It shot good and the powder meters real good. I forget exactly the charge for my 40 but it shot good. I don't really load hot as I just paper punch. Just tonight I loaded 7.2,7.6 and 8gr with a 230FMJ. It seems a little snappy compared to BE or clays.

I have some of that swiss stuff coming in also. Vhitavuiori I believe....

I paper punch and steel plate knock down. I burned through my last few boxes of , dare I say it?,Winchester white box the other day in my G19.. Boy was it the smokiest thing I have seen in a long time..

I collected the brass and said good bye to cheap factory ammo.

#5 is a great powder for the 9/40/45 and 38 Special. Was formulated for the .45 ACP specifically. Meters like sand (good thing). Uses higher charge weights than other powders but it's fine.

I found it to be rather dirty in light loadings in 9mm..
