Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hey guys, A few more questions.. As I am still waiting for my last few parts to come in I can not just test with a few dummy rounds, and this leads me to my question.. 1. Will the current .40 extractor work on the 9mm cases? (I see some post around the WWW that states the .40 extractor is best and will work fine) 2. Will the current .40 ejector work with a little help, like a slight bend? Thanks!
  2. Thanks for.replies guys... I found a few threads with some good stuff. I ordered just about everything to convert to 9mm, with the complete Zev drop in trigger kit, comes with lightened firing pin, safety, and all springs.. I also got serving sights, mags, magwell, lonewolf conversion barrel, steel guide rod, the little bushing to allow for the gen 3 rod, and ismi spring #13... About the last thing I'm researching is a need for a new extractor for the 9mm case???? From a 34, Or not needed? I'm looking at the one at midway made by lonewolf.. Your input is appreciated guys... Ps. Ill stay a little above the 125pf floor for my loads as.well..
  3. Anyone got links to the zev stuff for sale? Thanks!
  4. I'm thinking limited actually.. any ideas how to handle the recoil spring?
  5. Hey Y'all, I am converting a gen4 g35 to 9mm. I have just about everything figured out but recoil springs. Going for major pf. Must I get the dual spring setup again, if so which? Or is there some kind of trick to use the gen3 spring and guide rod? (Preffered) Also, an extractor of a g34 should be installed as.well? Thanks for help guys!!!
  6. Thanks Shepheard, I have some of that swiss stuff coming in also. Vhitavuiori I believe.... I paper punch and steel plate knock down. I burned through my last few boxes of , dare I say it?,Winchester white box the other day in my G19.. Boy was it the smokiest thing I have seen in a long time.. I collected the brass and said good bye to cheap factory ammo. cheers
  7. Hey Folks, I just purchased about 8 lbs or accurate No.5, so any notes on past experiences with this particular powder would be greatly appreciated. Thx.!!
  8. Thanks guys.. Ok so after doing some reading and chart sniffing I have another question.. I see that a 180 grain hornady XTP needs 5.9grains of accurate N0.5 to start with a velocity of 849fps. (would this be called the minor PF load?) @152PF I see that a 180 grain hornady XTP needs 6.6grains of accurate N0.5 to MAX with a velocity of 965fps. (would this be called the Major PF load?) @173PF If my understanding is correct here, the "PF" is simply stating the "SUM" of results of information calculated and used , as it relates to the specific load data. IS there a reason to "sum" it up? THanks! Told ya Im a NooB!
  9. Dang it! You guys Rock! Thank you!
  10. Hey all, How does one arrive at figuring the "pf" for the load? I have a Chrony on order but have never used, nor know of how to figure the pf using such a machine.. This noob really appreciates any help!
  11. Hey Folks, Well I am Very interested in this type of competition! From what I have gathered so far I would like to shoot in L-10, not sure if major or minor loads.. ( I do reload ) Most likely will be shooting my XD 40 4" with some small mods like, adjustable sights, coffin cut slide, trigger job and lighter striker / indicator pins, magwell... (limited with the 12 capacity mags) How do I get started and what is recommended to begin training, practicing on these types actual drills with people of the like mindedness of the sport? I simply target practice at the range and practice a few drills, but no one to really help me develop for this particular sport.. LIke I said, a real NooB. I Much appreciate the help folks!
  12. Please share the answer! I recently bought an XDm 40 and am considering building a limited gun. A coffin cut would be sweet, but do you have to go to a lighter spring? Yes sir... I am going to a 16# spring and getting a 14# to try out also, though I anticipate the 14# to be too light.. a 1911 guide rod and 16# spring.. enjoy.
  13. Yeah she is all set up today with my >40 cal. tool head all adjusted sweet! ...now all im waiting on is primers and powder! I did notice after all the extras like the .223 conversion kit, multiple tool plates, die kits, and powder stations, I lacked one thing.. A powder funnel for my 9mm, everything else was there.. So, I ordered one from B.E. tonight and a few other things. My box for the case feeder lacked the bolts that mounted the main bar, that holds the feeder elevated. I called support and they have a packet on the way.. NO B.S. warranty, gotta luv it! BE in the reload video from the 90's rocked too!
  14. Hey Folks, Thinking of sending my slide off to get some coffin cuts to reduce weight. ..I figured it out.. haha thnaks!
