  1. I recently made contact with SA. The lady I talked to was not very helpful. I first asked what parts were affected in the recall. She said she did not know the list. I asked her the turn around on getting my gun back if I sent it in and she said it could be 2 weeks or up to 8 weeks. They were not sure of a time frame because they have never done this before. I am going to wait if I even send it in. I have not had any problems with the gun so far. I have several friends who own the .45 cal and they have not experienced any problems either. Has anyone heard what part or parts are effected other then the grip safety?
  2. Thanks Steve. I am sorry about that. I tried to edit it but I see you posted a new link to the stages. Thank you for your help. They can also get them off our web site link and there is a link there on the front page. Thanks again for your help. Brian
  3. Brazosland Pistoleros in Bryan Texas will be hosting an all classifier match on August 22, 2010. We will be shooting the match at Arrowhead gun club between Bryan Tx and Hearne Tx on SH 6. If you need more information about the club or the range go to Brazosland Pistoleros Here is a link to the stages we will be shooting: August 2010 classifier stages
  4. You laugh about that. I save my spent primers when I reload and keep a magnet by them. I save them in a jar and when I sell the brass I don't reload I throw them in the box and sell them for the weight. So bring all your once fired primers to the match and I will make some money. It will give me some gambling money in vegas in April.
  5. Those primers might make him the most popular person at the match. !Might! Thats funny , I just got a smoking deal on once fired primers , But I will have to sort & box them my self hahaha hahahaha hahahaha..... once fired primers........ your killing me go ahead and pass them out that way I won't have any problems winning the match
  6. Is there going to be any vendors at the match? Maybe a Dillon vendor? Also looking for a vendor selling primers by the case.

  8. I am looking how to make contact with some friends from New Mexico that I shot with at 2007 TSLC and also DoubleTap. I live in Bryan Texas. If you know who I am talking about sent me a PM or a way to contact them on here. I know it is a long shot but I am looking to see what squad they are on at the 2008 match Thanks
  9. It will be for my limited gun. I am shooting a Glock G35.
  10. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase a speed holster cover on the internet? I am looking for one that zips all the way around the cover. The link below is what I am looking for but this one always shows to be out of stock. Thanks for any help. SSI Speed Holster - Covers
  11. I am looking at trying the black coated bullets. Does anyone have any expierence with them? I have been looking at 2 website to purchase them. They are within $5 of each other on the 250 count and the 500 count. The savings is when I buy 1000 or 2500. My other question is if anyone has purchased anything from www.masterblastersbulltets.com or www.precisionbullets.com ? Materblasters is cheaper. Any help would be great!!! Thanks
  12. I am looking at getting a reloader. This is the initial investment so now is the time to get what I want. I have been reading on here there are some issues with the indexing and primer rod on the 650. I will be loading 40 cal only but will be loading for 2 people. I know the 550 is manual indexing and case feed. I see they now have a case feeder for the 550 but it appears so new I am not sure how well it will work. I like the idea of the case feeder and auto indexing on the 650. For some reason I am still torn between which one to get. Starting out I know I should get the 550 but in a year or so I dont want to have to reinvest into all this equipment again. I reloaded 9mm in the late 80's for a while so I have an idea of what is going on. What I am looking for is some opions on the 550 and 650 and personal expierences. Are there some true issued to be concerened about on the 650? If so what are they? Thanks for any information you can offer.
  13. Can anyone please tell me a good chronograph and if you have one in mind where I can purchase it. Thanks for your help
  14. I am thinking of starting to reload. I want to research and learn as much as I can before I make my decision and the initial investment. I know that if I make this step I will purchase a Dillon 550 press and a case cleaner. What I am needing guidance with is what is a good brand of bullet to use for 40 cal? I have been looking on the internet and there are several brands. I am looking to find out which brands I would want to stay away from and which are good to purchase. The brass I will pick up at the range when possible. I am also looking for a good site in the internet to order from that is cheap. Speaking of cheap does reloading really save any money? I know it will give you a custom load which I like but will it really save me money? I know the initial investment will be huge but I am ok with that part. Looking at all the info is giving me brain overload I guess what I am looking for is a good place to buy supplies and what are good brands of supplies will be good to use. Thanks for any help and knowledge you can offer.
  15. No, I'm not having any issues. I was wanting to expierment with a lighter spring to see if it would help with action and cycling. It there is no benifit to changing I will leave it with the stock spring. The spring and barrell are the only parts that I have not replaced. I shoot the gun competition at a local group and in Houston.
  16. I have 2 questions. Can anyone tell me what the stock spring pound is for both guns and my second question is what is the lightest spring I can replace them with?
  17. I get +4 with my G22 mags. If I am able to press a 5th round in the mag it wont let the slide operate smoothly when I load and make ready.
  18. I am interested in getting into shooting and purchasing a Bushmaster AR .223 for competion. My question is does the barrell length have anything to do with the rifle making major or minor class or is it just the ammo? I am interested in shooting the Bushmaster 16 inch barrell so I am able to get through stages easier. I know it won't be accurate at 500 yards but I don't plan on shooting it that far. I also don't want to purchase a gun that won't make major class. I was pointed to a earlier discussion about the 16 inch or 20 inch barrell. It was all excellent information but didn't answer my question about power for shooting USPAS/IPSC. Any info would really help. Thank you
  19. I am shooting a Glock 22 limited USPSA. I am trying to locate some good magazine holders for competion. Any suggestions? Also I am wanting to get into some carbine matches. I am looking at purchasing a Bushmaster AR. I was recently told that I have to get the 20" barrel so it will meet the power requirements at a USPSA match. Is this true? I am really wanting to get the 16" barrel to get thru the stages easier. All comments will be helpful. Thank you
  20. thanks for the quick repsonse. That is the sight I was looking at but the sight I am looking at the size optic is not listed.
  21. I am looking at chaning my sigts on my G22 to Dawson fiber optic. I have a couple questions. Has anyone changed only the front sight and left the factor rear sights? I have Glock night sights and was thinking about changing only the front sight to a red fiber optic. Second question is, does anyone know of a website I can go to check for a good selection of replacement fiber optics before I purchase the ones I am looking at. Also will I be able to reuse my Glock night sights on my G23 after I take them off my G22? Thanks for your help
  22. Can you give me some information on the club you shoot with? I live in Bryan and looking for a club. I shoot with a local club the 4th Saturday of each month and I am looking for another time to shoot. I am new to the competition shooting. I have only attended about 3 local matches so far. Thanks for your help.
  23. Do the KKM barrel's fit the G22 with no milling?
  24. I am interested in changing the barrel on my G22. I am looking for some opions on the best manufacturer. I am also looking for one that will drop in with no milling (if that is possible). I have been told that KMK is one of the best. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
