  1. We'd all love to hear how you go about this. What do you do on match day? What's your program for putting it all together? What little things worked on the stages you shot well?

    I'll be judging dogs

  2. Sure, hide out. Make all those Production guys think they have a shot.

    They do...I hope I have a shot..

    :roflol:

Roger, you beat him I'll buy the next bottle.

Stuart, you just shoot the match without preconditions and no one will touch you.

  3. Match day today. I need to try a new routine on match days. I really enjoy meeting for breakfast before the matches, but (as was the case this morning) sometimes I get jittery when I wait that long after getting up before I eat something. It bit me in the butt today. I was bad for the first 3 stages and finally ate a protein bar to get the sugar levels calmed down. Fourth stage time was good, but I got lucky on the points calls. Fifth stage was the first one of the day that actually flowed together well. Maybe I just need to get "pissed" before shooting rather than trying to be calm.

Fun shootin with the Brit and discussing the stages...even though he kicked my

  4. Spammers. Ruining my evenings. Believe it or not there are some other forums out there worth reading, to me at least. Only problem is, to log in or register you have to have an email account that isn't hotmail or yahoo or others like this, which just happens to be all I have. So I can't log in, use the search function or post questions so I can get answers. ARGH!!!

    Is there an alternative?

Yes. I have as many as I want through my provider. I can set you up one and foward that to your hotmail account.

You will be able to recieve on the account, but not forward through it, but it will work for forum registrations.

    You da man

  5. It sounds like a lot of people are working on those standards. I know I have. I'm o.k. at 40 yds, whats killing me is reload and transfer to weak hand.

This kind of shooting sure makes you aware of fundamental skills.

I'm glad I decided to give them a try before the match. Without the focus needed to do those little things right I would have been awefully depressed at the number of misses. I didn't have a suitable rug for catching the mags, so didn't do too many reloads. But, the dry fire of that reload to weak hand transition could take years :roflol:

  6. Range day today. Wanted to try out those 40 yard standards on the turtle targets. Whoa, nelly. Thought I'd run through it a few times and then move on. Not quite. Spent all 400 rounds working on those 40 yard shots. Grip and arm position are vital here. Grip and trigger good? Shots on paper. Grip and trigger not good? Somewhere else!

    Treadmill later.
