We (Akai) have modified the Double Tap two sided mount to work as well...
How did you modify the DT mount? Is this something you can share or would I need to send a mount to you for the mod????

would it hurt anything if I polished around the edges of the chamber and the barrel hood? I noticed those edges are really sharp
no that has nothing to do with the feeding issues. Also, like hombre, said your mag spring could be the problem. But I would see if there is a "groove" going up the ramp? sometimes there is no groove and the bullet is just hitting a flat wall. it needs a groove or channel to feed.

IMO, look at the bottom corner of the extractor. Round the corner and break the inside edge, which is perpendicular to the hook of the extractor.
Along with rounding the edge slightly at the top of the feeding ramp. Just break the edge, nothing more. And maybe try a shorter OAL. 1.150 to .155
Assuming you have enough tension to hold the case.

I too have found the same results a year or two ago. Ive come to the idea that .30 thousands or so, difference between the front and rear seems to work well for me.
I can see the arrays and still come back to focus on FS just as i break the shot.

thanks Chuck. awesome. my final years at Lockheed, I was in Shunk Works at the Palmdale facility. My supervisor, took myself and a coworker to the staging area for the SR. We watched from the van, the pilots boarding the SR. You could see the fuel dripping as it taxi out.
Then we drove to the end of the runway, got out of the van and stood there waiting. We watched the two chase planes take off, flew right over us. Finally, the Blackbird, flew over. I did not have a camera.
And yes, you could feel it through your body as it flew over.

Chuck, you won't believe this but I was there at World Shoot VII. Wow, I remember those stages! The one stage with the orange door, you stood holding a pizza and open the door with a lot of swinging targets. I was new and was just overwhelmed with all the targets moving around.
Jim Zubiana, won a stage or posted very well on it and I remember how he didn't want to say how he gamed it out. It was the wall stage with the ladder. Didn't want the super squad to know...
The helicopter scene, was a shooter shot himself in the leg and needed to be air lifted out. You can see the stage after the helicopter, where shooters needed to re-holster a loaded gun before going up some stairs to shoot through a port.
The one women shooter wearing the red USA team shirt was Joann Hall, an ex cheerleader from the NFL. And you can see Rick Castlow, the one in the shootoff scenes, with the lick hairstyle, he was sponsored by Les Baer before Les, went to work for Springfield Armory.
We would shoot the whole week except Wednesday, we went to DisneyWorld and saw the Captin Nemo flick with Michel Jackson, before it got to the west coast. What a waste of time for that.
What I do remember well, were the opening ceremonies. It was impressive. Shooting back in those days felt really special! Seeing the top shooters you read about in American Handgunner. It was special. It was the beginning of what we know now! It was really special!!!

whether you change the plug or not, you have an indicator that using a 12pb spring is beating up your pistol. maybe you can us a 13lbs but anything lower with the barrel setup now, a 12lb would probably be right at the limit of what you can use.
Try a 13lb and see what happens? A 13lbs should be good enough for your gun.

IF, i were only shooting SS, i would just shoot 45acp. Living in California, makes it somewhat difficult to acquire 40sw SS guns. So, if I were only shooting SS, yes, I would shoot 45.
Plenty to choose from here in the classifies. I wouldn't mind paying the cost of brass, I guess because I wouldn't be buying other guns for Limited, Open,

that plug should work, if your using the correct spring weight. 14 to 13 lb range should do fine. typically, bull barrel guns use a recoil plug with a step or in your case, the tabs. the back of the slide tunnel needs to be bored to accept the recoil plug with the step. the step or tabs is what keeps the recoil plug from rocketing forward, as opposed to a barrel bushing which locks in place into the groove inside the front of the slide
there is no need for shock buffs, just use the correct weight spring to avoid banging the slide against the tabs.
the recoil plug with the step is a much option. since you have a fitted bull barrel, I would go with that setup, a stepped recoil plug. yes, there will be a slight gap, since the rear of your slide was reduced to make clearance for the tabs.

I made a statement before about SV must think highly of the RTS2 to make a mount for it and the not DPpro. I too, would like to get the DPpro with a two sided mount such SV or Double Tap sports mount but both are only made for the RTS.

Yes, know I understand and now I can visilize what your saying. Thank you, that makes perfect sense. Ideally, you would want the rubbing only on the flat part of the lugs.

If the marking is off the top part of the lead-in ramp, Please, explain? If he did not blue this area, only the barrel lug area, how would you know?

what separates the S_I magazines from the Para magazines is the height of the slot for the magazine catch lip. That is all. If the STI magazines works, it is because the slot on the magazine tube is catching the magazine catch. But it will be a loose fit, meaning the magazine will move loosely up and down.
You can see for yourself, by removing the mag. catch and insert the STI or SV magazine into the frame and see where the top of the slot is, in relation to the magazine catch lip.
By adding material to the magazine catch lip and then filing it flat to match the slot of the magazine tube, will ensure a proper fit and no loose fitting magazine tube.

why not do the case mouth belling there and hold the case down? yes, why not??? then you could back off on the powder funnel (readjust of course) but backing off the funnel, would not get that sticking motion during the upstroke.
