  1. AFAIK the recoil spring guide rod should never come in contact with the barrel legs. So I would say that I concur with the poster saying that someone used the barrel to get the bushing out is correct.

    //Fredrik

Ok, I give up, how do you use the bbl to get out a tight bushing (as a cheater on the bushing wrench?)

  2. Where would I find a maker of .22 rimfire mag pouches (Ruger 22/45)? What are you guys using that shoot the Challenge and other rimfire matches?

    Thanks!

Oh, yea, did the obligatory search, yielded zippo, nada, nothing.

  3. Lets hear it...I've got three and they're all click models...

    I have 7, all rheostat.

I lied, I have one click and I hate the damn thing! VERY hard to operate!

LOL about the lying! They do make a piece that you can put on the switch to make it easier to turn. Or you could just donate it to my experimental cause ;)

Send me $99 U.S. currency and I will send it your way!

  4. A customer stopped in today and after we caught up with one anothers events, he pulls out a Taurus box. In said box was a model 415 Taurus .41 mag. The top strap and the cylinder was missing. Actually he did find a piece of the cylinder but no top strap. All the force appears to have gone strait up which is good for him he could have a missing body part if not. He claims factory ammo and I have no reason to not believe him. My question is: Has anyone else seen or heard of this? Has anyone had expierence with Taurus on a ruined gun? The gun is not made anymore, so they would have to replace it with a different model.

    Thanks!

  5. forgot to mention that some shooters feel that they are paying customers and don't have to work at all. I say B.S. and we are better off without them!

The way some fees are charged (members one price, "guests" = member price X2) sometimes you can't help but feel you're a "paying customer". -_-

So become a member not a guest!

  6. Anyone that wants to bitch about anything relating to the quality of the stages or the number of rounds or the quantity of movers or lack thereof or the officiating or the time it takes to get results better be working their ass off. If all they are using it for is a way to rest the remainder of their collective whinny ass self, then I have no use for them.

The preceding is only partially in jest.

My club has a husband/wife team (Thanks, Jack & Debbie!) They usually get them out about one hour after the match. We recently bought palms and the software, so we will have them at match's end. In regard to "whinney ass's" I think every club must have some. We have a great core team and we work VERY hard to put on a quality match. Since my open heart surgery, I am usually done before the match even begins. So I pity the whiney ass that doesn't do anything and speaks negativly about said match. Did I mention that the core group gives wonderful attitude adjustments!

  7. Anubis,

For the past week and a half I have been milling wood at least once a day if not all day. Every time I start the jointer I think about these pics.

PUSH STICK! That's what I keep saying.

Good to hear and see you are doing well.

Man I thought about this for a while and finally figured out what happened. You can all call me stupid because I sure do :P

I was planing a 10"x4' board, it was about 1" thick and I wanted it down to 3/4". Set the planer up with the guards leaving

10" of the blade exposed. I used the push stick to push the board across the blade but I left the blade exposed when I was

done. I set the sticks aside and went to grab my board to set it up to push across the blade again and basically 'missed'

and jammed my fingers right into the exposed blade :(

    Two mike's and a damn..................................it!

  8. If its bone stock, send it to STI and let them make it right! That's what they're there for. I had the same problem with an Edge and it turned out that the grip was out of spec.

At $50.00 for overnite UPS I would not want to send it! Find someone local to make it right.

  9. Pretty interesting numbers so far. I'm really surprised by the number of 9x23 and .40 guns listed...diversity is cool! Seems like the "38s" have started to build alead over the 9's but it's still impressive how many 9x19 guns there are out there now. R,

    As of today--

    All 9's -- 144

    .38 super/SC -- 142

Call me surprised !! I knew the .355 was popular, but always somehow thought it was odd boy out. Guess not... My Bedell(s) 9x19 run perfectly.

    Five 38 supers

  10. I made it back to the states the other night. Be in CO till the beginning of Feb, then back to MD to do retirement stuff.

It's amazing the amount of crap that stacks up when one is gone for 6 months.

Welcome home Sean, you shoot for FREE if you come to Weld USPSA this Sun!

  11. Down 7 pounds from 5 o'clock last night and feeling a lot better. If I can get re-hydrated I think it might pass pretty soon. Last night was tough....

    Hey Howard,

I feel your pain literally. I am on day two of the "I wish I would just die" flu. I would probably have gone to work, but my wife who is a whole lot smarter than me, sez I am probably contagious.
