    I have a quick mag question on the mags that come with the x5.  are they 140mm in length?  if not have any of you added the springer base pads and how many rounds do you get in the mag with that extension and grams guts?

    Thanks for the replies.  I am like 99% sure I am going with the R3 just saving my pennies at the moment.  My luck is just after I buy it they will drop the 2.0 and the prices of the 1.0 will drop.

    Well I got to get hands on with a Romeo 1 on a 226 the other day at my LGS.  I have to say It was brighter then I expected such a small dot to be and i really liked the small footprint.  I also felt the color was very close to my old C-more.

     

    That being said I would not buy the one I was playing with as it appeared to have 2 dots.  Basically one in the center and one just off at about the 10 oclock position.  I have handled other sig dots and they were very crisp and I love my Kilo 2000 rang finder.

     

    This was my first hands on on a fire arm with a microdot and I am 100% sure that is going to be my new optic, now I just have to decide on with one and then find a mount.  Leaning heavily to either a Romeo 3. Vortex Razor 6 moa or DeltaPoint.  

     

    I am still open to suggestions as no money has been put out yet so if anyone has advice on this please let me have it.

    MBX 155's what are your thoughts?

    I am going to need to pick up a couple of new mags for my 38sc and I was wondering about the MBX 155's.  Is there that much improvement over the 140's with the xtra rounds or do they reload more like a 170.  Please let me have you thoughts on a 155 vs a 140.

    Is major falling out of favor in Limited

    When will the next big power factor drop be.  I mean at one point and time the PF was 185, then dropped to 175 and now is 165.  When do we go to 155 and make it legal to shoot 9mm as major?

     

    Look at the pattern of the life of the sport.  This sport was once dominated by 1911/2011's now there are many good guns that are not on these platforms, although most of the top shooters are probably still 2011's.  

     

    Granted I quite shooting in 2001 and just started back.  A lot has changed, I see some things have and some have not.  I would not be surprised in the next 10 years that you see major and minor drop off.  I have a few friends that are starting to shoot and they get mind blown on well should I shoot X division or not.  My response is, you are new shoot what you have and have some fun for now.  Then decide if you want to play in open or Limited, SS, production, PCC act.    

     

    I do not see it happening but then again when I started the 45 ACP was the King and 40's were a just starting out.  Now the 40 is king and the 45 is well almost been put out to pasture.  Do not flame me to hard this is just observation.  I like to ask the hard questions some times to encourage a little honest debate.

    Just curious what you all think.  Is Major starting to fall out of favor  for limited?  Will minor take over due to higher capacity of mags and the popularity of many of the new factory built pistols.  Not to mention that 40 S&W is loosing favor with many LEO agencies.  After all i just have to shoot faster and more A's correct ... :P

    Mount options for a Vortex Venom/ Razor

    What are the mount options for the Vortex Micro dots?  I have spent some time searching but am coming up with Mikes on what I was looking for.  

     

    Now for the hard part I had my open gun built a wile ago and only put like 3k rounds through it and hung up the gun belt for 15 or so years.  Now I want to get rid of the old Halo sight in favor of a vortex or Sig Romeo.   So the mount woul d need to be un-drilled and I can have my local smith drill to match the existing holes in my frame.

    Help with my grip on the gun

    So I am moving from open to limited.  I am going to use my XDM as I can not afford to build a full blown limited gun right now.  

     

    Any way way if I lock my wrists out while shooting the xdm I am hitting low at all distances " 2 inches at  10 yds ". If I let the gun break my wrists it is dead on.  Help please.

     

    on my open gun I keep my wrists locked and the dot hardly moves and hits where I want it to.

    Help deciding between 2 holsters

    Ok I am going to be using my 4.5 XDm to shoot limited I have narrowed it down to these two holsters.  Can you all help me decide which to get.  I pretty much have only shot Open from many years with a 2011.  I am looking for a change and to get back into after a bit of time away form the sport.  The holsters in question are
