New 97BD From IAMMO

So, was following on G.B. and noticed prices going out around $800-$900 depending on seller. Did a Google search and found 4 in stock at IAMMO. Googled them and feedback indicated they are not real good at answering their phones but they respond to email quickly and seem legit. Ordered the gun from them on Monday, and it was at my FFL on Thursday. $11.00 shipping. Works for me. $799 out the door.
2. 1/2 tsp Lemme Shine, 1/2 tsp Dawn, Capful of Turtle Wax Tropical Wash 'N Wax (smells outta this world), warm water, those steel pin thingy's, 2 hours of tumble, rinse a couple of times, towel them off, then shovel them into my new Emeril Brass Dryer 360... They come out looking brand new
3. Not sure if this is the correct location to post this so, sorry if I'm wrong. Dusted off my Dymo 450 Turbo over the weekend and ordered some blank boxes with styrofoam inserts from Midway. Still tinkering but I like the first run.
4. Wow! 1.030 OAL? That seems pretty short. Lowest I've had to go for my Shadow 2 is 1.090 with Acme 125 gn nlg greens. I'm curious, did you determine this length using a plunk, or how did you come to it? Not sure of the Titegroup data but did you have to lighten the load to compensate for the increase in seating depth?
5. Ok, the Nosler data is using a 4in barrel, and has a shorter OAL than the Hornady data. Also, the Hornady uses their own bullets for measurements and for that reason, I only use that manual when I'm loading XTP's. The data that Rnlinebacker posted looks like it's from the Hogdon website. It shows a cup of 25,300 @ 1.125. Since you can safely go up to 35,000 (or so), you will be more than safe using the Nosler data at your OAL. Do you have a chronograph? Velocity measure is a great way to see where you are on new loads. By the way, the Lyman manual shows a load for 231 using a JHP OAL of 1.090. The starting load for this one is 3.5gn @20,700 cup up to 4.9gn @32,100 cup. My money is on the Nosler data. I've loaded a bunch of these bullets using all sorts of powder/primer/OAL combos. I'll try and scrounge my notes and if you'd like, I'll post the chrono results.
6. Hi all, Old dog here, new to the forums. Live in Southern Wisconsin and spend quite a lot of my time at our local DNR range near Blanchardville. Mostly pistol (I have many) and have been reloading for 10 years or so. Today, I am taking steps to change my lifestyle and am retooling all my browser tabs to include this forum, as well as a few other like minded forums, my bank's website, the Dow, and a smattering of ammo sites. Gone are the numerous youtube channels, political/opinion/news sites I have been following for years. I'm done. No political ranting, just tired of all the B.S. Gonna spend the next couple of cold months reading up on stuff that really matters to me; my money, guns, and stuff to shoot out of them, as well as cooking up some new loads I've been wanting to try for a while now. Looking forward to learning more by participating in the forums.
