You may want to try some of the old forester brands I like the 1920 version it’s about 50 bucks where I live. Elijah Craig barrel proofs are usually good I’ve liked all the ones I’ve bought but be ready they start at 120 proof, they cost about 65 bucks. If you can find Stagg Jr it’s great. On a budget there is nothing wrong with Evan Williams bottled in bond it’s less than 20 bucks. Also Wild Turkey 101 is really good.

Thanks people, I’ll try resizing the balls. What I did that kind of worked was to use a vice to put the balls in then crimp them. It did shave some lead off but they shot fine, about 1 inch apart at 15 yards.
-
Does anyone know how to go about this?
-
I would worry with that load and spring combination about the abuse on my gun.
-
So….. I bought one and after about 2gallons of 223 brass that I could not prime on a reding turret press, I can prime it with a hand primer easily. I don’t think it’s perfect you have to wipe it with your thumb to knock off the brass residue but other than that it does work successfully.

I’m planning a trip to South Dakota probably with a guide. I’m curious if anyone has experience with this, how long of shooting to expect. I’m currently conversing with a guide that says shooting will start at 300 yards and go out. Does this sound normal or is he posting us where we can see a lot of dogs and not kill many so he can keep his dogs alive for the next group.

So…… how are all of defeating the crimped primer pockets? With a 650.
-
Does anyone have one of these if so how well does it work? I’m working on 556 brass.

The best thing to do in the current reloading component environment is to figure out something else that you can get without going broke. I have some, 5 1 pounders, in eastern Iowa but the Shipping would be ridiculous.

Any thoughts about shooters world ar+ powder

How do you know what height your mag release is? I’ve got 2 trojan 9mms Dawson mags work in one the other they rub on the bolt.I bought them both used so I don’t know the history.
-
In eastern Iowa you can find primers for 9 cents plus tax. Usually CCI but sometimes other brands but all US brands. They used to sell immediately but now they stay on the shelves.

Is it chambered for 3 1/2 shells mine says 2 3/4 or 3 inch. I’ve been very happy with mine. I did have Jeff C rums weld me a lifter for it to replace the barbecue fork it came with but that’s the only thing I changed.
-
Has anyone tried these yet, I have a picky 1911 and I would like to shoot 147s but it does not like flat points.
-
I sure like my horse head Trojan’s.
-
I’ve been using Dawson ETS competition mags for 3 years and had no troubles.

Have you tried backing off the jam nut on the die, then pressing a round up into it then tightening the jam nut, so the die is centered in the station.
-
How do you find these at Menards?
-
Will they work with a magwell?
-
Are there any suggestions on which 10mm mags to get for a 40 cal single stack? It will be for uspsa and steel challenge shooting.
-
All these are possible. Thanks for thinking about it with me.
-
What coal would you start at for a Trojan? I’m getting a new gun. I’ll be loading minor.
-
So…….. I had it back out today, ran 30 mags through it and they all locked back. The gun had to get used to the new spring?
-
Yes it locked back consistently until I changed the main spring, or the magazine springs are wore out

Is there a way to find these? I’m trying to figure out how you need to score to move up. I’m trying to pace my shooting instead of shooting classifiers like my hair is on fire and blowing it.
