I have one on my Titan, black , and the finish is breathtaking. You can see the quality on it.

I am curious, do they have any specifics as far as the oil to be used on the honcho ?
was wondering since every manufacturer seems to have their likes. -
There are some changes going on on STI . I believe they are trying to “ rebrand” the company to appeal to a different market. Having said that, I rather wait to see the direction sti is going and the market response.
STI pistols are coming and going and the price ..well you know. -
On this topic..we all know that the trigger itself makes a difference but is not all. There is more work that needs to be done as a whole to get that “ ultimate “ trigger.
opinions ?

SPS is even worse than BUL
LOL..I agree that they are not at the top, but not at the button either.
How bad are BUL that you are compering them with SPS? I ask because they look like really good pistols. I didn’t know they were that bad. Are they?

heyy im from ECUADOR can i put the 1911 colt goverment model in 9mm in a frame like sti hig capacity??
I do not know if I understand your question but..do you mean can you shoot 9mm on an STI high cap frame? That would be a 2011 in 9mm...Once again, I don't know if that's what you are asking.

I just had one on my workbench... it was one of the more expensive models with the E² triggergroup
frame slide fit was (verry) good
triggerjob was (verry) good
fit of the barrel... would be good for a 1000 euro pistol, not for a 4K pistol. barrel locks up on the link and the barrel had vertical play in the slide (comped barrel).
just my 2 cents
Well I guess that "looks are deceiving" sometimes. Overall I thinks they are good pistols now the question is, how is the warranty and customer service?

STI has basically dropped anything from their lineup that is solely intended for competition shooting. They are going after the tactical/LEO/Military markets pretty heavily now. I like the look and prices that BUL is showing, hopefully they can get more dealers in the states in 2020.
If STI is going after the LEO market they better do something different. There are a lot of manufactures going after that market.

I have 8 sti- pistols and they have all been great for the money. Six are single stacks and two are edges and they have all run flawlessly.
I'm not scaring any of the good shooters but that isn't because of the pistols.
I had a rear sight problem with one of the edge pistols and they replaced the sight, went thru the gun and returned it in 11 days.
I trust one of the 1911 pistols enough to carry it daily as a conceal carry.
The older ones were great guns, I can't say about the new ones.
Tim
Tim I have to say 8 is pretty good record. I agree that old STI were ...lets say different. Things have change and once again for the price you pay I expect little bit more.

I had one, and all I can tell you is that it is an exceptional pistol for the price. Ruger's pistol have improved quite a bit.
-
I am right handed, left eye dominant. I have learned how to shoot with both eyes open. It was weird at the beginning but i have learned through practice to see the target with blurry sights.
Rifle: I shoot it left handed.
It works for me.

i guess ignorance is bliss. i just don't feel the need to monkey around with the actual trigger. now on my glocks, that's a different story.
LOL...you are absolutely right Sir...on Glocks that's a different ball game.

I think to keep up with the quality of SVI and other custom gunmakers they would have had to really step up their game. To just start marketing to the mass market what they already were producing is probably much easier....
Do you think that there is a "relation" between sti and svi? Two different worlds IMO.

in my various sti's where i didn't have improved or gunsmith-worked-over triggers, i put in the brazos trigger kits and nice improvement. if you're talking about the actual trigger itself, mine are all stock and i haven't felt the need to look for something else.
In your case would be good to "test" one of your pistols with either xline, svi, or any other trigger and see if you feel any difference. What do you think?

Please post pics once you get it...want to see it.

You guys are correct, but what we all seem to forget is that the price of ONE MBX mag adding base pad, follower and ambi or not is $140( $132 +$ 8 shipping) for only ONE MAG. Other manufactures....see name above is less....my point.

I don't know the purpose of Glock coming out with a 22 cal. The are selling guns, they have a lot of gov. contracts so...money? No. Well I guess is just the caliber they did not have. I would not buy it ...for now.
