  1. Some great info here. Thank you for sharing guys. Chris
  2. Our store doesn’t have one yet, but the grip module sure looks identical to the regular poly Rival. Canik is know for using the same mags in most of their guns.
  3. I'm a wrong-handed shooter who wants to move to shooting a 2011 in Limited Optics, but I don't want to re-learn how to drop a mag with my trigger finger. MPA makes the release Jim Mitchell sold for years but was always hard to come by. I've shot a friend's MPA for LO and loved it, but I don't think I can swing that sticker price. Does anyone have suggestion on other 2011s that might take this release. MPA told me it needs to be a grip that takes Gen 1 STI mags. They also say it won't work in a Prodigy. I'm curious if it might work in a Bul SAS II or something else in the $2k range 2011s. Chris
  4. I have approximately 16 TP9 mags, 12 are marked Megar, the other 4 are unmarked. I was doing some measurements from the mag release to the bottom, comparing them and noticed the unmarked are shorter by approx. 50 thousandths on an inch. Height from the mag release to end on the right side. mecgar mags .1830-1840” 3 non-mecgar .1770-.1775” I did have some 20 round mags from a TP9SFX a friend gave me a couple years ago but I lost track of which magazines they are. It looks like they don’t come with the mec gar stamp. any chance they’re not made at the same spec as the Medgar ones?
  5. I started with two polymer Rivals last year. I tried running my usual reloads, which were 147gr, flat nose, coated rounds, but I had the same problem of rounds getting stuck in the chamber and having to really crank on it to get the slide back. Rounds were loaded to 1.145 OAL. The same thing happened when I tried truncated nose, FMJs. I had both barrels reamed by my gunsmith for $40 total and never had a problem again. As others have said, the guns made in Europe are made for 124gr NATO round nose loaded pretty short. I know a lot of people with CZs and Tanfos who have had to have their barrels reamed. Oddly, at the beginning of the year, I replaced my polymer Darkside with a chrome Rival-S. I haven't had to have it reamed. Not sure why, but it's probably because I started running 124gr round nose FMJs or plated that are loaded shorter (1.125 OAL). The specs are much closer to what you find in a factory round, obviously with less charge.
  6. My other Legion doesn't have that hole either. I'm thinking the left one is the X-5. Over time and lots of cleanings, it's hard to see the difference in color of the slides.
  7. Sorry didn't realize it didn't load. The Legion emblem is on the optics plate which I removed to mount the optics.
  8. Two of my three P320s are builds from slides/barrels I pieces together from separate purchases. Cleaning them today, it occurred to me that I don't remember which one is a X-5 and which was a Legion slide/barrel. Or are they two different models of Legions? Here is a pic of the two together. The one on the left is newer than the one on the right. There are also obvious differences in the area of the extractor. Not sure why it was changed. One has a barrel numbered 2507. The other is numbered 2446. If anyone can tell me the difference between the two, I'd appreciate it. Chris
  9. Nope same round in all the pics. So the GGP is really short. I sent them an email and pics earlier today. Have heard back but I’m sure I will.
  10. I had the same thing happen to one of my P320s earlier this week. In my case, it was a FS P320, with an aftermarket slide (Live Free Armory) and an aftermarket barrel (Grey Ghost Precision). Gun has (or had) a Legion frame. Pictures attached. The right side and extractor blew out. Brass was wedged where the extractor use to be. Some damage to the feed ramp and the slide under the extractor. And as you can see, the frame was cracked all the way through to the beavertail. Even though I'm a leftie, I didn't get a scratch. I also did a comparison of all my P320 barrels. Interesting results with the GGP one. See pic.
  11. I've been competing in IDPA (ESP) and USPSA (Production) since last fall and love it. This forum is great. Happy to be here.
