there is also a special tape called micro bearing tape. It is a thick plastic like tape. I use it in a few key places on my 012 with my p16-40 and it solved most of the problems and is almost invisible. So it still looks like a regular holster but has a few small pieces of tape on the inside edges of the holster.

I love the 012, but be careful about using it. I always have a tendency when I draw the gun to drag it on the aluminum housing that holds the plastic retaining device. So after time, it has scuffed up the bead blasted finish on my frame.

While we are on the subject of tri glides, I was wondering if any one here has ever put one into a para. If so, what needed done and how was the outcome.

I just bought an 012 about a month ago. I have been practicing with it and really love the holster. I own a P1640 and the holster is really tearing up the finish on my frame. Mainly on the dust cover and trigger gaurd. I just wanted to know if this was normal for the 012's or if I had something setup wrong. I know my gun is a working gun and I don't expect it to stay perfect, but it's only been a month and it looks like i've been dragging my gun through the rocks. Thanks for you reply in advance.

The reason I was asking is because I have GENUINE para high caps and after a few thousand rounds, the followers start to stick and the slide lock starts to not work. Not a big problem in ipsc, but I also use the gun for idpa and I was just looking for something to replace my worn out para high caps with. I was just trying to find out what I need to use the sti tubes. I have heard that they were better, but since I have just spent a lot of money converting all of my old mags to dawson basepads, I wanted to know if the sti tubes need dawsons sti basepads or the dawson para base pads. do you use the dawson para base pads or the dawson sti base pads? Also, do you need the sti followers or do the para ones work? Thanks again.

Does anyone use the arredondo muzzle platform with the 012. I just bought and 012 and was wondering if the accessory was worth it.

To add to this. Does anyone use the sti replacement tubes with a para? If so, I use dawson base pads, will they work with the sti tubes? Any problems with the sti tubes to avoid? Thanks
