An alternative :  right now (don't know about the future) you can buy 9mm and .223

for some very nice, low prices.

Have you priced ammo recently, sir? Once the virus news hit and thoughts of supply-chain disruptions, I was going to stock up on my range ammo and was shocked at the price hikes already back in February.

I checked again a couple of weeks ago, in hopes that all the stockpilers had theirs and perhaps prices started to drop again, but no dice...quite the contrary.

I refuse to pay an extra $100+ on a case of 9mm range ammo. That's why I got out my 'Reloading Research' and 'Dillon Presses' folders and finally making the plunge. :)

you never know if you are going to stick with one brand of red dot. So mos is much more convenient.

Some of us know...indecision is a dirty word.

You’d think these issues would be cleared up.by now.

Love to see a company come out and say.

“We rushed this product out because the market wanted it ASAP and they weren’t 100% but we’re going to make it right “

    😁

    I’m dreaming right ?

How long did it take until the 'Type 2' RMRs were released? I think we all accept the inherent risks of getting aboard before sea-trials were completed and a type-2/v2 is released. :)

I need to update that report. I called Trijicon and was informed by the tech that the battery covers are sometimes not tight enough from the factory. That could have fooled me because it was very tight and somewhat hard to get off when I was trying to remove it at the range, but fair is fair and I decided to give it another go.

Yea, when I went to remove it the first time, I thought I was going to strip it out it was so tight...even bought two replacements @ 50% off, as it seemed inevitable after only removing it once.

It's a PractiScore (iOS/Android?) issue. I saw this while doing stats for New Mexico Sectional in early August when a shooter changed divisions from one that allowed major to a minor-only division. Edited the division only for the shooter, PF showed major. Had to save that change, then edit shooter again to set PF to minor.

Makes perfect sense. Thanks everyone for the replies...won't send the G20sf off to be milled, then (when old enough). :)

  6. I am not there yet, but came across a 'Super Senior' that was recorded as shooting MAJOR power factor...jumped out at me, as I thought all in carry optics are declared minor PF.

    I check the rules...nothing. Mistake?

    From the rule book:

    Quote

"Anyone signing up for Carry Optics is declaring minor power factor regardless if the ammunition makes major power factor at the chronograph. Should they be moved to another division, they will shoot minor for the entire match or sub-minor should their ammo fail to meet the minimum."

I didn't see any declarations under the 'Super Senior' section, either, so thought some of you older guys might know what's going on! :)

  7. ...just ordered the SRO for a milled G45. My RMRs are 3.25MOA and didn't want the dot any smaller (old eyes), so went with the 5MOA...hoping it doesn't look too jumbo and it's a quick transition.

I wanted to wait until I compared the two side by side, but caught a decent deal and couldn't wait. I am starting to dabble with carry optics, so figured the 5MOA would be perfect.
