I wonder if Atlas went "We sell way more 9mm guns than 38s so lets try to make sure that those run"...
That’s how I’m seeing it. Believe the couple of 2.0s that were passed around were 9mm. 2.0 38sc has the same 2 poppel holes as the 9mm gun, chaos 1.0 38sc had a longer slide port and 3 holes. -
All of those are single action only, right? Won’t make the production list, so no CO

I was planning on ordering at least one last year, but now I’m having trouble finding powder. I’ll play in CO for 2022 and wait for an Infinity or two.
Think the fairly plain build quote I got from Infinity late last year was $1k less than a Chaos 2.0. Toss in blast pattern and an IMM will probably still be cheaper.

They’ll pop CCI primers as long as you don’t go too light on the hammer spring. Think the CGW 11.5 lit them fine in my old one with the typical 6/2 DA/SA pull.
They aren’t drastically different from a shadow 2, I’m sure there’s plenty of those guys running CCI or Ginex

Nah, the buttons still loose their clickiness and eventually quit working. Oh well, at least their warranty replacement is pretty quick.

Both of my guns have geppart triggers, so I’ve tried both long and short shoes.
Seemed to be able to consistently split faster with the short, so that’s what I’m sticking with. -
Yep, haven’t even bothered checking their website because even if I could order some, it wouldn’t be in a sufficient quantity. Precision Delta and Everglades are always in stock now.

I always use TTURNERBBI

Anyone else sell them besides Red Hill?

This is who makes RHT’s belts, they also make em for Atlas. Order direct if you don’t mind waiting a couple weeks and want a different stitching color or logo.

What’s up with the 2 different comp designs? Is the longer 3 port for 38sc?
-
What happens when the light’s internals fail and it no longer works? Would it then be considered a frame weight and bump you into open?
Things to think about

Range Panda ones are awesome. Another good option is from dream plastics. The SRO ones I had fit great after trimming them for the gun.

I have heard good things about the new Atlas 2011 mags. Not a lot of data on them yet, but for 100-120 for a complete 2011 mag they might be worth a shot. I have some coming with my Athena once its built. Mag comes complete.
I’ve got Atlas guns, so YMMV but I love the new atlas mags. All 8 of mine have been flawless out of the box after slapping in grams followers and springs. I’ve tried them with the lock back internals in a buddy’s Staccato XC and they performed well in that too.
I’ve got a bunch of MBX mags still and I don’t have anything negative to say, I’d just suggest the Atlas ones because of the cost.

Haven’t tried it, but for CR speed pouches, a hole could be drilled in a link with a tee nut inserted for direct mounting. I’m surprised DAA didn’t release these with sockets for Alpha Xi pouches.
-
Got my belt in. Boss hanger is fine, everglades holster is good. Surprisingly, I was able to get CR speed pouches on my Lynx. Probably not ideal since they take up more than 1 link, but I got one on there. I can’t find my Springer hanger, but I assume it’d work just as well.
Honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of the belt and I’ll be sticking my my normal DAA. It’s a bit more of a pain to put on and I didn’t see any upside compared to the older belt.
-
I too had a little trouble finding the 21 round mags, there’s a few sellers on gunbroker though. $45 per and $10 shipping seems more than fair.

Did you try to mount other mag carriers/holsters to the Lynx belt besides the DAA branded offerings?
My belt has shipped. When I get it in I’ll try a boss hanger, springer hanger, cr speed pouches, bladetech teclocks, etc. I’ll try to remember to post all my findings in here
-
The nevermiss hanger appears to use the bladetech pattern, so you’d be good with bladetech, comptac, RHT, weber, etc. Just make sure it’s got the bladetech pattern

There’s plenty of tactical oriented shooters in the 2011 market right now, I doubt USPSA was even considered when designing it. They’ll probably sell just as many, if not more MPA DS9s than they would actual Limited or Open guns

Not yet, if LOK offers grips in the future, I might have to snag a AXG grip for my Max.
LOK’s CZ brass grips are amazing

Ran a RHT and a Weber in the past, have a GX now. Wasn’t happy with the edges or fitment of the RHT and I liked the Weber even less. I don’t think there’s a single thing I’d change about my GX.
Wait time does suck, but you’re getting a custom holster that’s in high demand.
Thread protector limitations for CO barrel?
in USPSA/IPSC Rules
Posted · Edited by jpeters11
It’s just a thread protector, the post is there for grip when tightening, just like knurling.
Had the same idea awhile back when threaded barrels became legal. Kept wondering if thread protectors were even allowed, if they are, when would the OD eventually have rules.
